Salesian Values

Lumen et Sapientia – light and wisdom – stands for our unceasing quest for knowledge and truth.

Born in 1815 in Becchi, Italy, Saint John Bosco, or Don Bosco, was a beacon of kindness, faith, and education. His mission began with the Oratory of Saint Francis de Sales in 1841, offering youth a loving and spiritual haven. In 1859, he founded the Salesian Society, embodying Saint Francis de Sales’ philosophy. Today, the Salesians continue Don Bosco’s legacy, impacting youth globally through education, kindness, and faith. His story is a testament to the enduring power of love and education.
